What are 5 Things I Must Do Before Leaving NYC?

NYC is one of the most interesting and exciting cities on earth and if you ask anyone who has been to the Big Apple, what 5 things you should do there, each person will probably give you 5 completely different answers. Why? Because NYC is just that awesome! Even so, if you have limited time in NYC it’s always handy to have a list of ‘must do’s’. Here at Your VIP Pass, we’re really passionate about championing and supporting local people and businesses so here is our (somewhat subjective!) list of things you must do before you leave NYC.

Theatre

New York is a beacon of the arts. The city draws talent from far and wide and embraces everyone in its loving arms and once they’re here they are part of New York – New Yorkers through and through! You can witness this talent shining on the stages of New York theatres. And if you really want to get an insight into what it takes to make it in the Big Apple Your VIP Pass can offer you a unique chance. Our Broadway Show Packages will not only allow you to take in a fantastic hit musical, but you can enjoy a pre-show, three-course dinner with some of the cast members before you watch them perform. This is behind-the-scenes like you have never imagined!

We also offer the ultimate way to experience more classical art forms. Our Opera, Ballet and Music pass will give you the opportunity to spend time with, and talk to, a star from one of New York City’s big companies such as the New York Philharmonic, the New York City Ballet, or the Metropolitan Opera. Not only can you talk with one of the big stars of New York, but they will treat you to a private performance!

Landmarks of Manhattan

Few cities have a skyline as iconic as New York’s Manhattan, and if you’re already in Manhattan for one of Your VIP Pass’s theatre shows then you may as well take some time to see some of New York’s most famous landmarks! Manhattan is home to that most famous of buildings: Empire State Building. Although no longer the tallest skyscraper in New York (that honour goes to One World Observatory – also in Manhattan) it is still one of the most breathtaking buildings, with its Art Deco appeal, its gravitas and atmosphere. And if Art Deco architecture appeals to you then it is also worth going to see the magnificent Chrysler Building.

If nature is more appealing to you then you’re still in the right place. Central Park, that most famous of public parks, sprawls across 843 acres, and as you explore it you might just forget you are in the most exciting city in the world.

Apart from those three landmarks, Manhattan is also home to the famous Rockefeller Centre, the High Line aerial walk and, most poignantly, the National September 11 Memorial and Museum.

Culture

New York has everything in abundance including world class museums and art galleries. Every art and architecture nut MUST go and see the Guggenheim, with its gorgeous spiral design and stunning art collection. However, if you are looking for a more exclusive art experience then we have you covered with our New York Museum and Art Gallery Tours, which offer you private access to explore some of New York’s best museums in the company of an art historian. We offer access to MOMA, the Met, the Whitney Museum, and the Frick. We also offer private gallery crawls for those who have a real passion for art!

Culinary Experiences

New York is the great melting pot of America and as such, it is comprised of New Yorkers who trace back their origins to countries all over the globe. One thing all immigrants brought with them was their culinary culture, making New York an incredible place to explore food.

You’ve all seen the movies. New York is where you go to grab a pretzel from a vendor or get a hot dog from a trolley on the street. You come here to get a giant slice of New York pizza, or to enjoy a classic bagel with a generous smear of cream cheese. We certainly urge you to do all these things and more. However, it’s worth noting that some of the finest chefs live and work in New York.

If you want to explore the fine dining side of the city then we have a few Food and Wine packages you might find interesting. We can take you back in time to enjoy cocktails in a hidden speakeasy, or we can show you New York high society living with a meal in a mansion. If you want some comedy with your dinner, and you want to luxuriate in a club that entertained the best in show business, then we offer an evening at the New York Friars Club. This is a side of New York you dream about!

Sport

Experiencing a sporting event live is incomparable. Few things can get the blood pumping and the euphoria rushing like seeing people performing at the top of their game, merely feet away.

New York has some wonderful teams and brilliant venues in which to enjoy live sport, and if you can, everyone should visit Yankee Stadium at least once in their life! But if you’re looking for something a little different, Your VIP Pass has several Sports Events options for you to explore.

Depending on what your sport of choice is, we can organize VIP sporting packages for the Superbowl, NBA, St. Andrews Golf, Formula 1, US Open, and more. Each package will involve something different but you will be able to get access to these sports in a way that few people can enjoy.

So there you have our (subjective) suggestions for your 5 must-dos before leaving New York! This city is truly magical and here at Your VIP Pass, we want to take you on a journey that really demonstrates what makes this city special – namely its locals. New York is its people. If any of our packages interest you, or if you have any questions then don’t hesitate to get in touch. Your New York adventure awaits!
